PRICING

Pricing for all custom orders is determined by the complexity of designs and is inclusive of my design time, baking, decorating, and packaging. Custom orders require at least 2 weeks notice prior to your requested pickup date.

 

Availability is not guaranteed and a 25% "cookie emergency" fee will apply for orders placed less than two weeks before your pickup date. Please see the pricing guide below for more detailed information.

Base prices include a personalized message or basic design. Rates increase according to design complexity. I am happy to add your fresh/faux flowers or cake topper - all non-edible decor must be dropped off a week prior to cake pickup, unless otherwise arranged (i.e. fresh flowers).

FAQ

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO ORDER?


On average, I accept orders two months in advance up to 3 weeks prior to an event. As soon as you know - the better! Absolutely check with me to see if there's room on my calendar. Cookie cakes are easier to pencil in, and I can often squeeze in a cookie cake order when my schedule is otherwise full. Orders placed within 2 weeks of your pickup date may incur a 25% fee to cover my rescheduling process and rush ordering for supplies.




HOW DO I STORE MY CAKE?


Your cake will be packaged safely in a bakery box - simply leave the cake in its box at room temperature until serving. Avoid leaving a cake in a hot vehicle/room for any length of time (it will melt and become unstable), and do not refrigerate. The fridge dries out baked goods! Leftovers can be placed in an airtight container, and freeze well if you'd like to save your snack for a length of time!




HOW SHOULD I PREPARE TO TRANSPORT MY CAKE HOME?


All cakes should be transported on a level surface (i.e. the floor or your vehicle, NOT a car seat). If the weather is hot, run your air conditioning to keep the cabin cool. You may also want to bring items to "nestle" your cake in-between to keep it from sliding if you do not have grip mats. Always carry your cake with two hands placed under the box for maximum support. Do not carry by the sides, as it may collapse. Try to drive as smoothly as possible and avoid sudden braking and sharp, fast turns. Please remember that once your order leaves the Sugar Bar premises, I am no longer responsible for its care. Treat your cake carefully!




CAN YOU ACCOMODATE ALLERGIES?


Due to the nature of our kitchen, I cannot accommodate allergies. My cakes contain wheat flour and eggs. We are careful with our sanitation practices, but please be mindful that Sugar Bar cakes are produced in a kitchen that processes dairy and nut products, as well. Chocolate chip cookie cakes likewise contain dairy, in addition to wheat and eggs.




DO YOU OFFER SHIPPING/DELIVERY?


Under Indiana Cottage Law, I am unable to provide delivery or offer shipping services. All orders must be picked up on my front porch during designated pickup days.




WHEN ARE DESIGNATED PICKUP DAYS?


Custom orders may be picked up Wednesday - Saturday, and must be scheduled at time of booking. Please be prompt! I coordinate my production alongside order pickups and typically do not have room to store unclaimed items. A $25 storage fee will be charged for every half hour past scheduled pickup that an order is not retrieved. Unclaimed items will be donated or resold without refund after 24 hours.




CAN I HAVE FILLING IN MY SHEET CAKE?


At this time, I only offer filling for round layered cakes. If you wish to have a filled sheet cake, the servings and cost will increase significantly, as you will be receiving double the amount of cake. Feel free to ask and I'll design it with you!
